PERSONAL FILES
Wackiest prank?
My rookie moment was when someone put baby powder all over my towel. After a game I showered and went to towel off and sprayed baby powder everywhere. Someone got me and I still don’t know who it was. I had to take two showers that day.
Nickname?
Showtime.
Tattoos?
I have about 17. My favorite is Predator on my ribs, from my favorite movie. I also have a lot of cartoons, like Superman and Batman.
Best DB I’ve faced:
Ed Reed.
Best offensive player I’ve played with:
Clinton Portis.
My best play (so far):
It was back in the PeeWee League in 7th grade. It was double overtime, fourth and goal from the 5 and the play was designed for me to run outside. I got hit by two guys from either side but made it into the end zone and we won the PeeWee League Super Bowl. The guys fell all over me in the end zone.
Closest friends in football:
I have good relationships with all the quarterbacks I’ve played with, from PeeWee League on up. It’s a special bond, the quarterback-wide receiver combination. I was very close with Brian Hoyer at Michigan State.
Favorite foods:
I’m a fast food kind of guy, I like hamburgers, pizza, stuff like that. Lately I’ve been trying to eat more healthy foods like chicken breast and other lean foods, but I have a natural ability to stay in shape.
Favorite movies:
“Predator.” Arnold is my favorite actor and I’m big on action flicks from back in the day, classics like that. Also Jean-Claude Van Damme kickboxing movies like “Bloodsport.” I also like to play a lot of video games … I have about every system there is.
What’s in your iPod?
Besides myself, because I do have a recording studio, I have a lot of Lil Wayne, slow jams, R&B.
Superstitions:
None. Things happen for a reason. It’s not like I think you can’t walk under a ladder.
Best quality for a person to have:
Determination. You’ve got to have some kind of goal and the determination to stay motivated. When I found out I was going to have a son, I knew right there and then what I had to do. You’ve got to have that hustler’s mentality, never quit, fight through adversity, believe in yourself.
My hero is:
Myself. I look at myself like a superhero. More like Batman, because I can’t reveal my true self. People either love or hate you, you can’t get everybody to love you. Still, if people don’t like you, at least you can show who you are and why you do what you do.
